Hurray for my "new" brush set!!

Sorryyy for being lazy and not updating anymore >_< I started a new hobby, which takes up a lot of my time (I´ll maybe share it laterz). I have a loooot to blog about, just haven´t found the time :P Soon!

I actually have been writing this review for like two months :DD It´s been sitting on my blogger like forever :DDD This is about the Sigma Beauty's Bunny Collection (the Mrs. version). It includes 5 face brushes and 7 eye brushes. I had this set now for... over two months? I wanted to really get to know these brushes before actually bublishing a review about them :)

The packaging was super cute! I like the simple design.

Here are all of the bushes! The special color makes the brushes easy to find from a stack of brushes.

Haha! Do notice that the handle is same on the two biggest brushes - they both say "large powder" :D

First time I first saw someone do a review on Sigma brushes, it was wery detailed and boring, to be honest. There was a picture of every brush and a lot of text on every one of them. But now that I have these brushes for myself, I think I´ll do the same x) Maybe someone would like to purchase only some of these?

It´s really important to me that the brushes are vegan, aka all of the brushes are synthetic. The Sigma Beauty Bunny Collection utilizes Sigmax HD fibers, so the make up product should not absorb into the bristles. Sigmax HD fibres were also used in the Sigmax collection and I´ve heard that they just might be the best ones on the market. I also heard that the Sigmax does not shed like the other Sigma brushes might. I´ve heard that that is their bigger problem.

The Brushes

Eye Liner - E05

I usually use small angled brush for eyelining, so this one I haven´t found useful yet... But this has a quite small bristles, so the outcome will be very precise. Good brush, I just haven´t found a way for me to use it yet.

Pencil - E30

This one is good for making precise eyeshadow application, in for example if you´re doing cut crease. I was most exited about this brush and it totally fulfills it´s promise. I highly recommend this to all of you who are struggling with precise eyeshadow outcome! This is also good brush for applying color on lower lashline and inner corner.

Tapered Blending - E40

This is also my favorite from this set, makes all blending easier. I don´t remember doing any look anymore, where I hadn´t used this brush :D For example, if I want to make outer corner of the eye a bit darker, i might take some black eyeshadow on the brush and just tap it on. Easy and simple!

Eye Shading - E55

This one has quite short bristles as well and so it´s quite dense. I like to use this to apply brow highlight color. You can really PRESS color on with this.

Large Shader - E60

This brush is a bit too big for me. But I guess it works well for example eye shadow primers. I´m just used to applying primers with my fingers. Sigma says that it would also work for cream formulas, but I don´t own any so I cannot say :P I did use this once tho, when I put a LOT of one color on the lid. Works as well as any other brush from this set.

Small Angle - E65

Hmm... Good for brows and gel eyelining. Altho this is actually tyhe brush I was most dissapointed. I think it´s way thiker than what is should be : (. Works better on applying eyeshadow on lower lashline.

Medium Angled Shading - E70

Quite like the E40 blending bush, exept for the angle. Works well for highlighting.

Large Powder - F30

Ahh, this one is so smooth!!! The biggest brush I´ve seen. A nuisance to clean but really the best brush for powder products. Inglot´s powder brush is three times smaller!

Large Angled Contour - F40

Obv this is for blush and contouring. Really soft. Nothing else to add.

Duo Fibre - F50

This one I´ve mostly used for blushes, but they say it´s also good for contouring. I´m yet to learn how to make airbrushed like finish with foundation, I think I don´t blend well enough :D And as you can see, it has the wrong handle :P

Foundation - F60

A brush for everyday use. I always always apply my foundation with this.

Concealer - F70

Small brush for concealing. I mostly use this for eyeshadow application :DD

This was my most expencive package yet, but I have been thinking of getting these since last June.. Now that this vegan collection came out, it was instantly my thing. The set cost 109 $ itself and the shipping costs were 38 $ (if I remember correctly). The shipping cost is a bit nasty. There were two options; the first one cost like 19 $ but the expeted shipping time was 2-6 weeks. 6 weeks! And the second option was 38 $ and shipping 1-2 weeks. I did not want to wait for the package for 6 weeks, so I did not have a chance...

The package was the same size as the first pack I got from Lit Cosmetics. _The same_ size. Same white box. And I think Lit Cosmetics took like 10 $ for shipping. The difference was that there was actually working traking number and the mailman brought it straight to my home. The shipping time was about the same...

But the price for one brush is like 9$ so in a way they are really cheap. Some Inglot brushes for example can cost like 30 €!!

The brushes even look really bunny like :D

I´ve been using these brushes nearly daily now, and I can assure; NO shedding! And superb quality.

Love is not a victory march

Hello hello! This time I was thinking about "Ice Queen" as an Alter Ego :) But in the end it turned out more like a princess-like than queen-like ;) This is really something that fits my Blog's appearance :D

Ice Princess

Everything was very lavernder/lilac/white ♥♥♥ I seriously LOVE that wig. It doesn´t fit as well I´d hoped, because of my skin tone. I should have had a bit lighter foundation color on, perhaps. But I still love that color.

Oh and I AM wearing white feather earrings in this picture. (so no the wig does not have feathers in it, even tho it looks like it in this picture :D)

The super awesome wig has really pretty white locks underneath ♥

Again my camera went on and changed some colors :DD So everything that was lilac turned out PINK. But still neat, huh? It actually looks like I´d have Lime Crime's Pretty Pink Planet on my lips !

In stead I´m wearing Lime Crimes lipsticks Chinchilla and Airbourne Unicorn mixed together. Lime Crime should definately make a white lipstick!! Would be interesting to mix that with the current colors.

...derp. Whaddya think?

Valentines day is coming! So I did "pink zebra" nails. The picture above is taken... 7 days after doing the manicure, so it looks a bit destroyed already :D

Me on last friday. Went to see MyGRAIN. The gig was brilliant, even tho my condition was not at that time :D

I found some killer rings from Gina Tricot! 14,90 € all of them :3

I´ve adopted 2 more cockatiels, so now I have 6 of them. They are a lot of work, but still love them.

Niki is too lazy to actually step on the edge of the food bowl :D

The Blue moment

In the past weeks in Finland we have had temperatures from -5°C to -40 °C. NOT funny. Sometimes I just don´t even want to think about going outside >_< Also we have had a few snow storms, due to that, for example, we had over 260 car crashes last friday :D

I managed to capture a few pictures of this "blue moment". You know when the sun is setting and all of the white snow turns to blue :) So beautiful. This picture is taken on the 8th floor, and as you can see, even the window is covered with ice :D

Brainwashed Barbie.

Hello hello! This entry is an combination for two series! It features Lit Cosmetics "Cayman" glitter and also it is my second Alter Ego; Brainwashed Barbie!

Solid glitter, size 2

Teal/blue/green (whatever you see in it) glitter <3

I´m already so used in Lit Glitters, that using them is always piece of cake. I love these glitters and if you havent tried them yet - I highly suggest, if you like sparkly things ;)

...so Barbie went a little mad an dyed her hair blue. Green. Teal. Whatever. My apologies if the colors on the pictures vary a little... It seems that my camera cannot capture real teal color.. So I tried to make it as close as I could to the real wig color!

Say hello to my first Alter Ego look!

I found a new idea for a blog series! Altho the "lit series" is not finished yet, I tought I´d do Alter Ego series :P

There are actually three reasons why I purchased some wigs. First: Every girl loves makeovers! Second: My red hair doesn´t always match with the makeup colors (and I want to try different ones!). And thirdly, this "alter ego" boom has gottem me actually pretty exited :3

My theme here... I was just thinking of "black sunset". So I paired yellow, orange and black together~

Haha, I haven´t worn false lashes in such a long time, that these were glued so poorly :DD

Sorry for beeing so MIA lately... Even tho this blog is "obsessed with vanity", I just haven´t been feeling like it lately.. I´m working a lot and besides that, I hang out with friends or do some workout. I haven´t been feeling "glamorous" lately, so I´ve just had very natural nails, make-up and clothes.. Aka really nothing to show on this blog. I haven´t even had the energy to wash clothes, nevermind actually clean up my apartment. Woah, such a mess. This winter is totally sucking the life out of me. So hopefully I will recover some time at spring when the days are longer and brighter <3

...yes, the outer corner has a darker blue in it. It doesn´t show on the first pic..

I LLLLLLOVE Inglot! It´s so easy to use their eyeshadows. I got actually 5 new colors. (Again).This time I randomly ordered from their website. Maybe someday I´ll get an inspiration to try something harder with these intense colors.

..this is what you get when taking a picture in my home :( The lighting is really terrible. But the blue looks even cooler now :D

Happy 1-year birthday!

...to my blog! Exactly one year ago I published my first entry. Hmm.. So how did I actually start and why?

I found first interesting blogs in november 2009, but back then I didn´t even think possible to have my own. I had edited some school magazines etc. so I had just a little knowledge of photos and such.

My job contract ended 31.12.2009 so in January I was "free" to do anything I wanted and I kinda tought "well why not". I started sewing again, for the longest of time. My first tought was actually to make more like sewing/knitting blog. But so many things changed during last 12 months! Let´s take a closer look!

January 2011

My first banner was purple! I had black hair and purchased a lot of fabrics... Back then I already was obsessed with nails. I got a night shift job from Itella, so I didn´t stay unemployed for long :D I also got my first MAC product, which was Cyndi Lauper lipstick ~Do notice that the photos have a bad taste and quality :DD I feel almost embarassed.

February

When Inglot shop opened near me, I got my first Inglot nail polishes and a palette from them. I also presented my humble make-up collection in this blog. I was in love with the Pretty Reckless, Digital Daggers and Die so Fluid. Actually there are two totally ridiculous entry's I might even delete. Oh how... embarassing I´ve been :D

March

I tried out my first marble nails! An dyed my hair red. I also started dreaming of a decent camera and visited my folks in Estonia. Still working with Itella. Ah and I also had a side job for 3 weeks, which of course took most of my time, doing two jobs at the same time.

April

I got my first Konad stamping plates and a lot of other accessories for nails :) I also went to see the Devin Townsend and I purchased the Canon Powershot s95, yay!

May

Ahh, the sun started to shine, long winter started to be over! I traveled to Tallinn and found out about Lime Crime and Sugarpill. I celebrated May 1st at Tampere and ordered a LOT of false lashes. And I got my second Inglot palette.

June

In June I had a job interview and got a new job with Pelican Self Storage! I terminated my contract with Itella to end in the beginnig of July. I got my first 4 Lime Crime eyeshadows and a Cold Heart palette from Sugarpill, among with some loose eyeshadows. SUMMER ♥

July

In July I worked for Itella for a week and again I had a side job with that. After both of those I was on a vacation for 3 weeks! I flew to Slovenia and had the time of my life in Metalcamp! Lubljana and Tolming captivated my heart.

I also got my first Lime Crime Lipsticks and the eyeshadow primer, again among with 4 loose eyeshadows. I also got a bunch of Beauty From the Earth eyeshadows. It was really warm, ah how I miss those times. First time I ever tried jet skiing!

August

I started my new job after a looong vacation! I purchased a lot of Alchemy Gothic yewelry, newest Ghost Brigade album, a lot of new polishes and some Illamasqua products. Did my second marble nails :D

September

Only 5 entry's in September! Ohh. I was in Japan :D And turned 21 before that. I started digging purple and magneta hair colors. I purchased some more Lime Crime lipstics when the Lip Noir was published. I played a lot with Sugarpill ~

October

I really started blogging in october. I blogged about the Japan trip and I got my first Lit Cosmetics order, I started the Lit series! I started doing a helluva lotta makeup themed posts. My favorite month so far.

November

Hmm.. I think I did a lot of nails. November has been my most efficient month yet! I got some more Lit glitters :) My first "dress" -picture in AGES. I´m just so crappy in taking photos of me :(

December

I rearranged my shoes :P And there was of course some more Inglot vanity, my fourth palette... Oh and a picture from 2010! How I miss extencions ;_____; But my haircolor is changing all the time (atm), so there is no point in getting extencions right now... In december I hit (so far) the highest view score with that green Sugarpill/Lit Cosmetics look. I also got my first Iron Fist shoes and a new "expencive" makeup foundation. And visited my folks in Estonia once again.

January 2012

So far.. I made a huge FUSS in posting my LIme Crimes Carousel Gloss review... Been hauling a lot of Inglot. Nothing special othervise. I´m so busy with work and this stupid cold and dark weather is so not helping.

Wow. This is actually more like a diary! I´d say that the blog has changed totally from what it was when I started. I think I have more courage and self esteem, to bring you even more bright and beautiful photos :) I´m more determined to do the thing the way I want to.

I will be investing in quality in the future. I don´t think that it´s a suprise that some things I published last year, make me feel stupid. But now when I look back, I´m actually glad that I did publish them, they are/have been a part of me and it´s good to see the change.

Thank you for all of my readers and supporters, you mean the world to me! And I do have a question for you! What would you like to see more in the future? More make-up, clothes, product reviews, more colors, less colors etc. All comments are welcome! I´d also like to hear what did you NOT like in my previous entry's. Thanks!

Once again, changes feed the progress of the world

Iglot AMC Lipgloss 541 ft. NYE nails

..I have this obsession of using song lyrics as my blog posts header. Anyway! I passed by Inglot's shop (again) awhile back. I was in need of some not so opaque lipgloss and I got the AMC Lipgloss 541.

The package is small and handy. Has been in my purse ever since I purcased it :)

It has this really cool blue/purple vibe to it. I couldn´t really capture it on the pictures as it is in live, but maybe you get the idea.

This is totally not the best picture to show :D But it makes my lips little pink-ish and in some lighting it reflects this cool blue shine. It´s kinda sheer and easy for everyday and for party use.

The black package box has holo text on it, I really liked that ;)

...more blue shine! I really like this lipgloss! I think it cost... 16 €? So not the cheapest one, but I´m super happy about this. Inglot has like 5 of these cool colored lipglosses, I just might try other ones as well! Do you own any of these? Or maybe someone has showed them in their blog? Please let me know, I would really like to see the others!

Everybody run to the break of dawn

SO! I look like an idiot in that picture :D These pictures are from New Years Eve ~ (yes I´m bit slow nowdays ;) ) We went to Tapiola to a friend's friends apartment to change the year. The apartment was on the 10th floor and we went just a few steps up to the roof when the year actually changed :) I forgot my camera inside, but I can tell you that it was quite a view!

For some reason I went around taking pictures of pretty tattoos I saw on people.

And nobody knows what happened to the toilet paper. Actually also the household cat went missing for quite a while during the party :D Too much crowd...

I just signed up for motorcycle classes! I´m super exited ~ And now I´m gonna go get my Sigma brushes from the post office and present them to you afterwards. Have a nice evening ♥

I´m here for your entertainment

I´m still annoyed about the Lime Crime incident :(

First of all - my point was not to attack the site "Doe Deere Lies"! I was just mad that someone took my photo and everybody started attacking me and my blog. So, my deepest apologies to the site owner if my actions caused any trouble for him/her.

The picture got taken down from Doe Deere lies, but it had already spreaded around and on another site and there was was this comment:

"Considering all the other reviews, even the few positive ones I’ve seen, that say how terrible the brush is…It amazes me that she is claiming otherwise. And since other people have made videos showing how sheer these go on and how you have to layer them, I’m wondering if she actually knows what “opaque” means.
I don’t know this girl, I haven’t read any of her other posts, and I don’t have anything against her. But just based on THIS Lime Crime review, I wouldn’t really trust anything else she has to say.
And I don’t really know how people are able to get past Lime Crime’s shady business practices. Even if I received these products for free, I would never be able to review them because my opinion would be affected by my distaste for the company."

- Ahhhhhhhh! (I hate this). If you had tried the brush yourself, maybe you could have a decent opinion about it. Don´t go judging before you know what you are talking about. I have no reason to lie on my blog, I do this only for the fun of, I´m here to entertain. I DO like the brush. It really is a shame that people can say these things about someone they don´t know. I hope they feel really happy about themselves.

This whole thing is such a shame. I mean, it´s good to have different and honest opinions about products - FROM THEM WHO HAVE ACTUALLY TRIED THEM.

I´m really really grateful for all of you who supported me and commented on my blog or on the other internet sites. Thank you. Now let´s move past this hassle and move back into the obsessed with vanity´s style! :)

FYI - About Doe Deere lies

Please - I´d like to all of my readers to read this.

I just got back from a weekend trip and went trough my latest view details. It seems that a site called "Doe Deere Lies" has published my latest Lime Crime lipglosses photo and written some ridiculous things about them. And the commenters have written some ridiculous stuff about me! See link here.

So. I´m here now to clarify things. First of all, I have never tought anything negative about Lime Crime. Some people are scared about ordering their products, saying that they are bad of what ever. I don´t really have time to read this crap on the internet. If anyone has some real info about them, please link it below.

Just now I tried to comment on the photo - asking them to take down the photo, because they are using it without my permission. And it makes me mad.

Here are the comments:
"Can't deal with all the typos in her review! She mentions that she applied 3 layers of Loop-De-Loop and that the reds are both really staining."
-Yeah, the product is not perfect, it stains and so makes the color easier to stay longer?? To make that kind of photo like I did, of course I had to apply like ton of layers. Anyone that thinks that I would actually wear these glosses like this, are idiots themselves. I did those swatches to show how the colors look like, because you cannot see them in the tube.

"I also didn't realize they had a bubblegum scent. That sounds icky"
- It´s not. Don´t judge if you haven´t tried.

-That´s an honest opinion. The writer did not like the photos - ok. But the gloss was not all ofer my teeth nor my mouth. Again - Don´t judge if you haven´t tried.

- Oh my, if you had even read half of what I wrote, you would know why. I TAKE MY PICTURES INDOORS. In a different lamp lights, my skin and the products look different. I mean.. really. Think with your brains if you have them.

"That looks disgusting! Like colored Vaseline glopped onto lips. How is that even remotely attractive, or appealing? Blech. It's not like you could really wear that much lipgloss out anywhere either. For one thing, if you have long hair, it would make a huge mess on your face with the barest hint of wind. If you went out to eat, you would make a HUGE mark on all the glasses, end up eating it on your fork when you ate food, and it would just look so gross.

Also, why do NONE of these people actually wipe the edges of their mouths with a tissue before taking photos? You're supposed to get a tissue and wipe the edges of your lipline and the corners of your mouth so that you actually have a lipshape that is not a weird line of lipstick/lipgloss like that! It's not supposed to be raised several mm's above like that!"
-Hmm, true my hair has a time of two passed my lips when wearing the glosses. But again - I don´t really wear this much of gloss in real life... Come on now. These pictures are to show colors!!!

-The only fair comment here. I think this comment was for the staining part? The staining is good if you want the color to stay longer, or am I wrong?

Review: Lime Crime Carousel Gloss and Swatches

Unicorn time!

Hello all you beauties and a happy new year 2012! What kind of makeup did you wear when the year changed? Please link below if you have pictures online, I´m curious to see! :)

I´d like to introduce the Lime Crime's newest release; the Carousel Glosses. I wanted to purchase these during the last sale on Cyber Monday, but the Lime Crime website totally crashed and it took me two days to get trough and place the order. Oh man, the sale was way over then, even though they extended the sale :D (I would have wanted the mint lipstick as well :/) Within the cute purpleish box there was also a Lime Crime sticker and a promotion card for the glosses.

First of all, I have to apologise; my camera has been A BIT stubborn lately, due to the lack of real sunlight. You just cannot take decent pictures in fluorescent light ;_____; So, most of my pictures are a bit yellow-ish. Anyway, ON with the review!

These gorgeus tubes are the most pigmented lipglosses you´ll ever find. True dat. The packaging is cute, but almost annoying. I love the caps and the bottles, I´m just bit sad that you cannot get a bigger glimpse of the colors, because the plastic has such a mold/shape to it. I don´t know if I just explained that correctly :D

There are five of them glosses - Cherry on top, Kaleidoscope, Candy Apple, Golden Ticket and Loop-De-Loop.

I´ll show a bit closed look of all of these in a sec. I just want to mention that these guys have a really good applicator, it makes it "kinda" easy to apply the gloss. Everyone probably knows that when dealing with really pigmented lip products, it´s always hard to apply it.

Loop-De-Loop

This blue gloss is my favorite in what comes to the colors. It´s a deep blue with some purple-ish shimmer in it. You have to apply a ton of this, if you want to be able to get the color I have above. I´d say at least 3 layers. I´m intrigued to see how this would last during the day. Still unlike any color I´ve seen!

Candy Apple

A deep red with golden sparkle! AH, I spent so much time trying to apply it clean and evenly. An easy choice for red lovers. I think that the color was actually a bit darker than in these pictures.. Or maybe that´s just me. This color stains like... A lot. It makes it easier to stay on the lips, but hey, I´m still wearing the hand swatch, even tho I did the swatches days ago :DD

Golden Ticket

My favorite! Golden shimmery gloss, that was easy to apply because of the sheer color. Love at first sight ♥. I don´t know where can I actually wear this, but I will! Definately. Humm. And the gloss isn´t as greenish as it looks in the pictures. (Or is there really something wrong with my eyes? :D)

Kaleidoscope

This is not so much my style - but it is still a beautiful color :) Deep purple with blueish shimmer. Oh man this was the hardest to apply, because the color is SO opaque and you have to do such a precise work to make it look good. This has A LOT of that glitter/shimmer in it, when I removed the gloss, I had glitter all over my face.

Cherry on top

This has totally the wrong color because of the camera! Horrible ;____; Cherry on top is a REALLY BRIGHT almost pink-ish red gloss with red shimmer. Maybe some day I´ll have a descent color captured in a picture. This one I actually wore to work already, really nice color ;) This also a really stainable color.

The scent in these glosses reminds me of bubblegum. A really strong scent! The scent fades in a while tho. Or maybe I just got used to it :P The color payoff is amazing in all of the glosses, so I´s day that Doe Deere makes another success! These glosses live up to their expectations - So bright, it´s illegal!

From a sale~

Oh, was it christmas? Again it went past by so fast... So much eating and sleeping :P I went down with a flu on christmas eve (AGAIN) and I´m still having some symptoms >_> It´s always so much fun to serve a customer when you look like you´re crying. That is also the reason why I don´t have any makeup looks for you today. Also I lost my camera cord so I cannot upload any pics :D Hopefully next year will start stronger x)

The best part about the end of the year is that now the days start to get "longer" again! So the worst dark times are once again gone, without losing my sanity, that is :D I´m so sick and tired of the sun going down at 3 pm... And without any snow it´s always so dark :('

I don´t actually even feel that the year changes tomorrow.. I´m always working and I don´t even know where or with who I´ll be changing the year with :D

Hot makeup nailpolish in light blue with Opi's Last Friday night

Ahh.. I have Sigma brushes, Sugarpill loose shadows (still) and a lotta of xmas presents to show next year. When I´m healthy and all. Oh I also have... 3 pair of new shoes. And new lipglosses. 6 of them.Till then!

Natural Born Killers

Time for some Inglot vanity! I tought I´d present all of my Inglot colors :) Earlier this week I went to buy my mom her first palette - and of course I just had to buy one for myself too :3.

And sooo much welcome to all of the new readers !!! I´m so honored, I never tought I´ve reach 100 readers o_O Thank you!

This is the new palette! Mainly pearl colors - I´m so deeply in love with these! They are so easy to apply and to blend, AND they have so much pigment in them.

The funniest thing... This pearl blue I saw in some blog some while ago. And I tought I need to get it! And I did. So I came home after that, and what do you see... I already own it in a round palette!!! I´m so stupid :D

HIGHLY pigmented! Brilliant colors x_x Just one touch and that is the result...

Meanwhile....

I was taking a picture of the palette but instead... This is where the magic happens. I have a laptop and a different screen attached to it - I like to work on multiple screens.

Ahh I´m too tired to write the names and numbers down... You should be able to see from the palettes, which swatch and pan is the same...

It´s almost christmas! And I still have sooo much to do... Insane.

2010 vs 2011

Whew! I got this challenge from Rosi (like.. many months ago), and the point is to choose two photos; one from the fall of 2010 and one from 2011.

Summer 2010

I think that the main point here is, that in 2010, I hadn´t even tought about having my own blog. I had a different job... I didn´t own even half of the make-up I do now... I didn´t have a camera... So I also had very little photos of me at that time. The only decent one is actually from summer/spring 2010, but I´ll still use it :D

And now? I´m official make-up-, nailpolish-, and glitter junkie. My hair is reddish like and I own a ton of shiny jewelry. All about vanity huh... I actually have a job I like and I´m quite pleased with my life right now :3

Ton of pictureas ahead! Over a week ago I went to see Opeth in Helsinki Ice Hall ~ So kind of I was going for... dark, brown and greenish make-up. And I´m here to praise the effect that Sugarpill's Lumi does.

In some light, the makeup looks quite ordinarry, shimmery brown. Dragon Scales itself is already so multicolored eyeshadow, I tought it just might look really nice with the Lumi.

Out of like hundreads of photos - only one of them shows the true identity of Lumi. Somehow it is REALLY HARD to catch this effect on camera. Anyone else have same problems or is it just my camera?

I also tried to see how it looks in really radiant light.. intresting, huh?

First of all - I seriously know nothing about foundations. I´ve always gone with the cheapest one. So this is my first ever 'more expencive' one. What I did was I went to the beauty store and just asked to see some good foundations. And this is what came home with me!

I wanted something I could wear on day as well at night and that would not clog my pores. And I got it! "As invisible to the eye as to the touch, it fuses with the skin like an imperceptible second skin. Impalpable and secret, this shapely, silken veil renders the complexion sublime without artifice." The saleswoman said that this includes some minerals, thus the bottle should be shaken before using.

Rose Clair, 12

SPF 20!

So the saleswoman suggested that I´d try the color 12, Rose Clair. It seemed to match my skin without any effort. What I later on noticed, that this is actually a bit more yellow/beige than what hoped. BUT. This product is semi opaque (puolipeittävä??) and it seems to tone down the redness of my skin! So no separate green consealer needed for that :) On their website it says "The skin is coloured and evened out with total transparency. No colour is visible on the face; the complexion is simply fresh, radiant and disarmingly natural."

I love love love the logo of this Guerlain :) I haven´t actually ...ever heard of them. Or maybe I have but I haven´t paid any attention.

But blends seemingly.

Applied on the right part of my hand. Can you see the difference? This has to be the dream product.

I also got a free sample of Clarins Day Cream!

And I´ve already used like all of it :D This thing gives a lot of moisture, with still a matte finish and also dries really fast as well!

The foundation wasn't as expencive as I would have tought, only 55 €. I think that is a cheap price for as good product as this is. Definately worth the price. This will also last for a good while, because of the rather big bottle :)

Death to analog

SHOES *gasp*

Hehe.. An explanation of what I´ve been up to. I FINALLY got to Ikea and organised my apartment a little. Been meaning to go to Ikea for two years now :D Before this huge organising, my room for clothes was so messy and full of stuff - I didn´t even fit in to stand in there. I basically just dived into the cloth pile when trying to find something. Also my shoes were in the corridor(next to the bird cage), always full of bird dust, and I was so tired of always cleaning my shoes before I could use them! So I rearrenged them into the clothing room like above :) Pretty neat huh? No more bird dust cleaning AND I can actually see from what shoes to choose from!

MOAR SHOES *gasp*

...not all of my shoes fit the 'shelf' so I stacked my boots on the floor :) Hmm... Only two pairs are NOT black :D

Belts 'n stuff

I also purchased a glass vitrine :3 Only 49 euros! Finally I have a place to store my yewelry and makeup :) And nailpolishes! (Before I can get a rack). And of course, now they are safe from the birds dust and their beaks ;)

BTW! Julien-K has released a new single, Breakfast in Berlin!!! After like million years. Not my favorite, but get´s me exited for the new album, being released in January! For those of you who doesn´t know this band, they released their first album 'Death to Analog' in March 2009, song 'Kick the Bass' being the first single. This will be their second album (I was sure the band quit already).

From the Death to Analog album, European release.

Their song 'Technical Difficulties' made the Transformers movie.

Actually I found out about the band in 2004, when the game Sonic Heroes came out :D It featured a song 'This machine', what whas the "team dark's" theme.

Later on Julien-K made another song for the Sega Sonic series, this time the song was only for the character Shadow the Hedgehog. Who would not love Shadow?! This song... was not my favorite. Instead this was the time I fell in love with Crush40! ...but that´s a story to some other time. Do note that I was like 14 years old at that time x)

Exiting news! I finallllly got the mascara I´ve been thinking of getting for months now. And just my luck, that when I actually went to buy it, there was already a newer version available ♥

So I dived my way into Giorgio Armani's word in Helsinki's Stockmann and drooled all over their products. The saleswoman convinced that this new product is even better than the Diorshow mascaras! And she was also wery impressed with my nails :D

The mascara 'case' itself is actually quite heave, just the way I like it. The heaviest I´ve ever tried. Also it has a cool metal vibe to it, me likes ♥

Giorgio Armani ♥ Pure elegance

The color I got, was black (duh).

The brush has kind of two sides to it, that the pictures don´t really show. I cannot bend my english to know how to explain it :DD It makes applying layers of mascara easier anyways.

The product itself is really easy to like. Easy to apply, really smooth, black lashes as a result. I really like that this product doesn´t clump even after a few layers :)

You can buy this gorgeus thingy online here! I don´t have any pictures to show any swatches or anything because... First of all my lashes are already quite black, so you wouldn´t see the the same difference in them as it is in real life. Also I will be using this mascara anyway in all of my make-ups, so you can see it there as well.

EDIT: I meant to say; DEFINATELY worth the price :)

I wanted to present these new shoes I got last week. I´m already deeply in love ♥. These are also my first (ever) pair of Iron Fist shoes. I doubted a long time in getting these, mainly because of the high price. But now that I´ve used these for a few days nonstop already, I can assure you, that the price covers comfortability ;)

Color Club seems to be my newest polish love :) I saw both of these polishes on Charming Nails blog. And drooled so much, I had to order both immediately. And I haven´t regreted ether one!

Sugarplum Dairy is an amazing lilac holo glitter and the Foil me once is perfect metallic pink/lilac.

This has GOT to be my most spontanious purchase _ever_. Some while ago I run across one facebook page and I liked the colors and cute things I saw there, so I "liked" the page. But since I was in a hurry, I forgot all about that page and brand afterwards. Suddenly few days later, an update pops into my Facebook homepage.

The package was a bit smaller of what I had been waiting for, but still did not fit into my mail box ;D

The first thing that caught my attention: the cutest princess/hime hair comb :3 I feel like I could seriously eat the decoration on it!!

Cherry earrings, these I found quite ordinary. I bet I could find something similar in a normal yewelry store.

And a donut necklace :D Actually, if you add any one of these to you costume, it will stand out. I noticed this when I was wearing this necklace at work with just normal work clothes, it really stood out :P IN a cute way!

It´s a shame that I didn´t get any bracelets or rings :( Also I would have wanted a colorful donut! :/ Check out Little Miss Delicious blog here :)

I also went to Gina Tricot some while ago.. And told me that I couldn´t buy anything. I still did. When I´m not supposed to buy anything, I buy even more. *sigh* Anyone know this feeling?

Last friday I had an pre christmas party with my colleaques and I was wearing actually two Lit Glitters :)

China Glaze - Blue Iguana

Ahhhhhh I LOVE this blue! It has a sheer violet shimmer to it - altho the picture doesn´t show.

And the polish was also so very lasting! I forgot to add a top coat but still the manicure lasted very clean for over a week o_O Aka no chipping or breaking - none.

Last Saturday I was at a friends house-warming party! Hoo, and after that we moved to downtown to Base. Which was very FULL. Almost didn´t get in!

With Marjut and Rosi... And Valtteri behind us.

Do notice our really different and outstanding hair colors x) Magenta//pink, nuclear red and lavender \o/

I was wearing a skirt I ordered from Australia like ages ago, never worn before ! :D What a waste! (I had piled a lot of other skirts on top of it so I kinda forgot It´s existence :P)

also a Spirit Store boots... worn many many times.

I took a picture of Rosi´s leather jacket´s studs :P Neat, huh? Somehow reminds me of Lady Gaga (now that the picture is in Black and White.)

Rosi got a flower necklace while I was in a bathroom :DD

Haven´t lately been feeling like writing, thus so little from me also this time. I do have a lot of pictures, just nothing to say :D I hate these long dark days when it just rains all the time and you feel like there is only but darkness everywhere.

Rio - Silver Spectra nails

Foiled nails in direct sunlight! These are the same nails I showed you a preview already. -> Awfully much pictures ahead.

I ordered the Rio Holographic nails set from UK for under 30 euros. Neat, simple and easy packaging.

Inside there was a dvd, and some brochures and instructions. The dvd does not only contain info about the foiling, but other nail designing methods also! Very convenient, yes.

Some rhinestones, a small brush, cutile stick, golden glitter, the adhesive and 2-in-1 polish.

The 2-in-1 varnish works as a base and a top coat. Adhesive is the glue you use to glue the foils onto your nails.

Top row; Silver Matchmaker, Silver Shellite, Silver Snowflake, Super Rainbow and Silver Starry Nights
Lower row: Silver Spectra, Silver Horizontal, Silver Snakeskin, Large Silver Glitter, Silver Menagerie

So how does this actually work?

Step 1 - Apply a regular polish base and some nailpolish, or put on just the Rio 2-in-1 varnish. Let it to dry 30 minutes.

Step 2 - Apply one coat of the adhesive on your nails. Let it dry until it´s totally clear.

Step 3 - Put on the chosen foil. Rub it onto the nail with the stick. Peel the rest of the foil of and finish the design with another 2 coats of the 2-in-1 varnish. Done!

Even the first attempt looks super pretty in sunlight :)

ahh.. how about those cuticles...

My first attempt? I was way too impatient with the adhesive. I waited aroud like only for 30 secs and the put on the foil. And the result was that I couldn´t peel it off without everything coming off, because the clue was too sticky. I was too afraid for the adhesive to dry too much, so for all of the nails, I put on the foil too fast. But still I was pleased with the result.

I put on Inglot´s silver nail polish before glueing the foil. So in this picture, you cannot really see the gaps that were left in between. And sry my cuticles look... horrid :B

The second attempt was a little better; also to show you how this is done!

So after the adhesive you add the foils... and rub them on with a cuticle stick that came with the package.

And this is when you peel the foil off.

I´m using Silver Shellite

...and then the end result.. Before a top coat. A bit sloppy still. I have so huge nails to foil the whole thing.

Love the sparkle on the nail tho :) This looked good for... 20 hours and then turned into horrid mess. I put pink metallic nailpolish under it, and it did not look good :D

This is definately a great christmas present for those who love to play with their nails, and love to stand out. In other hand, I would not recommend this for the beginners, because it was hard for even me at the first time! Good for an impeccable impression, for a party for example, but not for everyday use. Hello new haircolor!

...just kidding. Ok, so I´ve had this dilemma for quite a while already. Two months ago I was certain that I wanted violet hair. But now I´m not sure anymore. So I played around a little :P Yes sorry for the BAD editing but I did it quickly just to see the different colors..

My take on Gaga insanity. I wanted to play with Sugarpill´s Royal Sugar, and make it as provoking as possible. Thus the super round blue color on my lid. Made my eyes look a lot different of what they really are. I tried to make my lid´s look bigger. Insanely bigger.

I also did the look to match my shoes. The higher the better. Ft. shower curtain.

Some while ago I got asked to do some looks by certain inspirations. (Yes I like challenges so keep them coming :) )So this is inspired by mermaids and of course by that fan too! I´ve always tought of mermaids with the hint of pure light blue.

And I did take some time finding out the right shades of blue/teal :) From left to right there is Sugarpill´s Starling, then Darling, Lime Crime´s Troubadour, Sugarpill´s Royal Sugar..... And MUS Aquarius. And the rest are some BFTE colors.

...the only name I came up with these :D So humm... I told you that I didn´t feel comfortable in just a pink nailpolish. I wanted to try something different. So I just kept adding stuff to the nails :D

My biggest mistake: I actually stamped the pattern in the middle as the last part. It may have been a little bit easier to have done it right after the pink polish :D You can clearly see how the stamp goes a bit over the straight lines.

China Glaze - Nova

This time I have a lot of nailpolishes to show! ~ I reallllly haven´t done my nails well in ages so I tought I´d pull myself together once again :)

Originally I saw these on some blog - in original rainbow colors. Sorry I don´t remember where! But I used Inglot´s white varnish and then just dotted on some colors that I have. And then topped it off with China Glaze´s Nova.

...too much contrast o_O My camera has a mind of it´s own...

...Moving on! I got three new polishes last week:

OPI - Japanese Rose Garden

I got interested in this one mainly because of the name, haha :D It´s a sweet pink with a hint of a gold-ish shimmer. Rather pretty, but looks weird on me, I´m maybe not so pink person !

In daylight it looks a bit more lilac-like.. Great color anyways, maybe I´ll do some decorating on it!

OPI - Last Friday Night ☆

FINALLY! I got my hands on some Katy Perry´s collection by OPI. This looks very blue-like in the bottle, but in reality it´s quite sheer light blue with a lot of glitter. I probably would not wear this just on nude nail. So..

I put some blue nailpolish under the Last Friday polish and then topped it off with the Black Shatter!

It came up suprisingly vivid. This was my second time ever using the shatter polish, so I´m still learning how to apply it.

I don´t have much to say about this. Works just the way I supposed it to work... Easy to make a imposing effect, with only a small effort.

OPI - The on That Got Away

Oh I love this color! Deep vine red with shimmer, I´d say.

The one that got away with black shatter. Lovely aye? Yes I´m holding a MAC lipstic ♥

When I apply the shatter, at first it looks like it doesen´t shatter that much. And when I look at my nails the next day, it look like the shattering has grown during the night. Weird, huh? Because I always apply a top coat on the design...

...Altho the bottle came to me broken D: And I could not reach the seller anymore... So I just fixed it myself! ;) Here you can also see there is some goldie shimmer inside !

And now - enough with the polishes, here is a family potret I managed to take one morning ♥ All of my birds are doing well and they have been healthy, I´m so happy about that!

Can you guess what this is? Hehehe.. This is a sheet of paper, where the sun happened to shine on while I was working and there was some plastic thingy next to it, so it reflected this beautiful rainbow to the paper :)
